BenzoBabe Posted November 21, 2006 Share Posted November 21, 2006 I am scared to death to take it.....the info that came with it said if you cannot sleep from it...have anxiety from it....have depression from it OR IF YOU hallucinate,..call your doc....I kinda have to take it..or try cause I kinda have a bad case of bronchitis maybe pneumonia . BenzoBabe Posted November 21, 2006 Author Share Posted November 21, 2006 Oh Libby....I already paid for it and just took one...but I am just flipping out mentally wondering if in hours I will be on like an acid trip....I use to take acid and ya know back then I could do it but who would expect an antibiotic to have these potential effects ....gulp.... Penny Century Posted November 22, 2006 Share Posted November 22, 2006 make sure to take a probiotic about 2 hours after each dose. acidopholis alone is okay, but biaxin kills everything so sometimes it's good to get a pill with a mix of beneficial bacteria. it will save you a LOT of stomach issues and will prevent getting a yeast infection. make sure that the probiotic you buy is refrigerated. the ones that are not refrigerated are dead and totally useless. you can also eat yogurt. or something like that thing they advertise on tv that is yogurt but they market it like it's something new. (you know, the commercial with the two female college students discussing how bloated they are because they ate pizza?) this is the probiotic i used during my last round of antibiotics (and also take regulary because it helps my tummy), and i also love this stuff. the second one is mostly all acidophilus, the first one has a mix of beneficial bacteria in it. i'm only offering these as examples, not saying you you have to use these brands. anyway. most doctors do not stress how important it is to take a probiotic or eat yogurt. you need to have beneficial bacteria in your gut. makes your tummy happy to have it. ok. done with lecture now. i hope you feel better soon. Mindyou at the time I was on eight other meds and I'm mr. side effects. Too bad they don't make that probiotic stuff for guys. I'm just too macho to buy the brands out there.
