dan
Is there anything that can help with this? Its only a moderate annoyance and a bit uncomfortable occasionaly painful with a secondary infection... I don't want to spend $60 on a gp to have him tell me I just have to live with it. My psoriasis of the skin coes and goes but my nails are fairly constant.
Dee
I don't have psoriatic nail dystrophy, but I did have on and off infections under two nails after someone slammed my fingers in a cooler door at a cafe I was working at. The nails became partially detached from the finger. For the infection part (it turned green!) I soaked the nails in peroxide and the infection part would go away. I just did this every time it came back, over about a 3 year period. I didn't want to go to a doctor over it either. Maybe that would help the infections, but I don't know about the psoriasis part.
