Bipolar disorders: Mixed states, rapid cycling and atypical forms

edited by Andreas Marneros and Frederick Goodwin

From a book review by Thomas Meyer:

"The book, edited by Andreas Marneros and Frederick Goodwin, both experts in this field, starts where most textbooks would end. Their goal was to provide a monograph dealing with not only such less well known and sometimes less well understood phenomena as so-called mixed states and episodes, but also the relevance of atypical or agitated depression for bipolar disorders."

I've ordered it through ILL.

finally, more academic info out there on mixed states! i think a lot of pdocs, especially ones out there who haven't kept up with the times, are really not in the loop as far as mixed states are concerned. i've been DXed in the hospital as being either depressed or manic a few times when it was a mixed state. try telling them that- they'll look at you like you're a nutcase ;)
