I think I developed more food allergies...

Recommended Posts

Okay... so. I'm not eating much.. to be honest... but I'm finding that i'm itching a LOT, and not eating very much wheat/eggs, if any at all. This confuses me. I used to be able to eat a little, and itch a little. but even when I'm eating none, I still itch like crazy... so bad I can't sleep sometimes. I don't know what it could be. I'm thinking chicken could be one of them. But i'm not sure. I'm fearing that corn is one of them too... or soy.

Does anyone have a good website to a place that has a listing of everything soy is in?

And... I think, I'm finally goingto bite the bullet, and get allergy testing!

i did a full elimination diet a decade ago that was very useful in spotting food allergies. it never occurred to me that a doctor might be able to do it for me.

i found an old book about it but i can't remember the book and i don't know any websites.

just wanted to say that once i cut foods i couldn't handle, my health improved. now i'm getting even more sensitive to refined stuff and having to cut foods out again. grumble.

well, see at the place i'm living.. you HAVE to eat what they give you.. unless they have a doctors order...

SO, either my doctor has to order a soy free, corn free, chicken free diet..... (well, one at a time...) or... I can do allergy testing and see if anything shows up, then eliminate that and if that doesn't help... go from there...

I know of no such list and it would be ridiculously long if it did exist. It seems like almost everything has soy in it.

If you are itching and you think it might be from a new allergy or a worsening one it could be from a soap or lotion. If not, testing is probably the best way to go. If you are getting itchy you probably have a really good chance of showing results with an allergy test.

you mentioned that you left where you live for the holidays, after going back there could be something in the environment that is making you itchy. It could be a lot of things.

Start keeping a food journal with related symptoms. You'll probably be asked to do this anyway.
