I've had some pretty vivid dreams....I had a few days where I was depressed after my 50mg increase but I was also PMSing at the same time. Who knows what caused it. The past 3 days have been great for me though. Wishing everyone else much luck.

does anyone else get more depressed or have nightmares on lamitical

Not nightmares but wowee zowee dreams every night. I've gotten used to them though. I used to have nightmares on trazadone though. It all depends on the quality of sleep youre getting. I was still very depressed on the trazadone, but the Lamictal has brought me outta that. If youre more depressed on the Lamictal maybe you need to increase it, or most probably youre getting the Lamictal rage irritability thing that a lot of us get from it . It's supposed to pass, but I almost didn't live through the last one long enough to see. Very touchy med. Good luck with it. It's a real pain in the ass getting it right but worth it in the long run, at least for me.

Yes and No. Maybe. For some people. I started to get depressed because for peeps living with Epi., increased seizure activity is a real nightmare. And that was happening due to the fact that Lamictal gave me insomnia and sleep deprivation lowers my seizure threshold.

So I dumped Lammie after a year. (during that time I was on b/w 450 & 600 mgs of Lammie as well as Topamax. Mebbee that's why I couldn't sleep. Perchance to nightmare?)

But! Different drugs affect different dopes in different ways, ya know!

i've heard of it from several people, so it doesn't seem that those side effects are super rare or anything.

personally, lamictal saved my life and keeps me sane and out of trouble. if it weren't for lamictal, i'd be 6 feet under with my dad.
