catwhispers5
At one time I had a really good psychiatrist. He is not only brilliant, he's actually compassionate. There were circumstances that caused him to have to stop practicing for a while, but he recently came back and I'm so glad to be able to see him again. He actually had a solution for the dry mouth problem that I had never heard before, that no professional I've ever come across heard about before, nor anyone I ever spoke to. I did a search here in crazyboards and didn't see it. So I thought I'd share it. The beauty of this is that is lasts for about 4-6 hours. It is a drug called Salogen. It was created for cancer patients to help the dry mouth caused my chemotherapy. It is a prescription drug and of course, you need to talk to you doctor about it. However, it is a proven safe drug that has been around a long time, with very little probems in the way of interactions. I am extremely medication resistant, and have had horrible side effects and reactions to most medications, and I could tolerate this perfectly. It's not even very expensive. If you haven't heard of it, and you have a dry mouth problem, it migiht be worth talking to your doctor about. The niocest thing about it is you don't have to worry about toting water and mints and suffer when you forget them. Hope this information helps some of you.
