Feeling manicky

Recommended Posts

I'm writing long, long letters to people today.  And talking in three different IM windows.  And yet getting massive amounts of work done.

Yep, definitely at least hypomanic.

As much fun as hypomania is, I'm wishing I could be normal.  Just for a little while.  Calm, rational, sane.  Just for an hour or two.

My life is going wonderfully.  I've got a great job, a great boss, a great therapist, I'm going back to school, my husband is wonderful...  and yet I can't enjoy any of it, because I'm too busy being bugfuck crazy.  I hate it.

Currently I'm on 30mg Abilify, 20mg Prozac, 60mg Strattera (for ADHD), and 1-4mg Risperdal as needed for mania/anxiety/whatever.  I just recently (last week!) came to terms with taking meds, and I'm taking them regularly.  So why the fuck aren't I calmer?  Why can't I get through a week without cycling?

Sorry if I'm babbling.  Can't seem to help myself right now.

Abilify can be too activating for some people. Also Prozac, like all the other SSRIs, can cause cycling  manic reactions, mood shifts, for many BPs. Hypomania can be fun and productive for a little while but when it becomes bothersome it sucks not to mention it could turn into a full manic episode.

I'd never heard that about Abilify.  Huh.  Thanks for the input!
