info on TMJD?

Recommended Posts

is my doctor a crackhead?

he has told me at the last two visits that no painkiller will get rid of my TMJ pain, i need to see a specialist.

that takes three months. out of pocket.

he says take 3 mg of clonzepam and bear it.

i said that doesnt relieve the pain, it makes me feel better about my painful state.

he just shrugs and says "take what you get i guess".

so, is he a crackhead or is there anything i can do? i feel so hopeless cause it hurts so bad.... and my family just spent 5 thousand bucks to buy me nice new properly aligned dentures because it was supposed to fix it.... and now i have to tell them it was all for nothing, two surgeries and no food for seven months all for nothing fuck fuck fuck sorry

suggestions anyone? i will never make it three months. i'll break my own jaw first.

please everyone- don't laugh at this-

hypnotism isn't someone swinging a watch in front of you and making you their slave or something. you have full control, but you are in a relaxed brain state where suggestions stick. you won't do anything you don't want to do.

anyway, i got a hypnotism tape to get rid of my TMJ. i listened to it and did it, every night, until my TMJ went away. i listen to it now here and there, and remain free of the TMJ.

nothing else worked.

so, i'd give it a go.

nothing has every really worked for my TMJ pill-wise. A lot of advil or a rx of celebrex helped, but didn't stop my cluster headaches.

what really helped is something that, honestly, if i'd known what my physical therapist was doing, i would have walked away. but i didn't ask till the 3rd session after my headaches had already gone away and at that point i was sold. it's called cranialsacral therapy and physical therapists and some chiropractors do it. make sure they're well trained. if it's through physical therapy or chiro you insurance may cover it, mine did.

Where did you get this hypnotism tape? I'm willing to try anything and don't have a lot of options because of a lack of money/health coverage.

TIA!

i got it from an alternative health center in columbus, ohio, but you can get them i'm sure on the internet. do a google on it and i'm sure you'll come up with something. some of the internet hypnosis stuff is in mp3 format and you can download it and burn it onto a CD.

as i said, it helped a lot. i don't grind my teeth anymore or have the pain.

I must agree completely. My jaw had gotten locked up so badly I couldn't even eat. I was taking Flexeril twice a day and still in total agony. The physical therapist used cranialsacral therapy with some ultrsound and it worked wonders. I still do all the stretching excersizes all day at work just to be sure I never get that far out of whack again.
