Geodon is activating at lower doses and sedating at higher ones. It's not uncommon to have that 'antzy' feeling. You could talk to the pdoc about raising the dose a bit if it's bothersome.

As for how long to wait... at least a month, I'd say. Sometimes longer, but it's really up to your pdoc.

Im really bad today, though. Its almost as if I am cycling down because I am depressed, angry, anxious, and overall cynical all the time.

How much are you on now?

I started at 80mg--felt antsy, almost a little manicky. Then 120mg--still wired. 160mg--less antsy, more crying jags, anxiety. 240mg--still anxious for a little while with some intrusive thoughts that passed. Of course, the anxiety and intrusive thoughts could have been the end of my depression or stress of going back to work. The increases were over a couple of months. I'm on a high dose because I usually need to take high doses, something about being a fast metabolizer. I really like the geodon. It has helped pull me out of a depression.

I hope it works out for you.

I am at 80 right now. It worked well for a week then all of a sudden I feel like "hospital material". Im anxiety prone anyways and over the past few days Ive been scared and stressed and jittery and down all at once. I cant calm the hell down no matter what I do. Im nursing off of my moms supply of Klonopin tonight and my doc will call tomorrow. But ugh I dont feel like myself at all on this med.
