Hello! Crazymeds refugee here.

Recommended Posts

Hello, just wanted to introduce myself. I am looking for a new place to compare notes about crazy-ness and subsequent medications. As you may know crazymeds.us has been shut down aparently for good. This seems to be a very similar format (almost eerily similar) without all of the drug info on a main page. So, sign me up! Crazy or not, here I am!

My brief history: I've suffered from major depression most of my life, was on and off prozac which never quite worked well for me and sometimes have me hypomania. Wellbutrin worked but unfortunately I had to stop taking it because of some adverse effects on blood pressure stabilization. Switched to Celexa which to me seemed like a kinder, gentler prozac, but still didn't work all that well for depression.

Finally I was diagnosed with ADD. When I realized this it all made sense. The symptoms, the Wellbutrin, etc. So now I take a combo of Celexa and Strattera. Stattera seems to be the magic bullet for me (for now... we'll see!)

Looking forward to meeting all of you.

its so hard to find a stuffed eeyore! i want one.

Welcome! Who can resist gloomy ol' Eeyore? Dan, I bet you can find one at any Disney store or online. It seems like Disney toys are everywhere around here.

Rachel - if Dr. House pays you a house call - send him to my house next. Hugh Laurie is dreamy.

The disappearance of crazymeds.us is very sad to me. It's no coincidence that this site looks a lot like that one. I'm not the right person nor am I able to recall history accurately but I remain grateful to a fellow named Jerod and my hat is off to him. I think he was a real creative genius and put together a tremendous amount of research and work and we on this board are still benefiting from the fruits of his labor.

I don't post a lot. I saw a lot of what went down. I'm flawed too. I totally wish him well.

Good to see some familiar - and new peeps here! I will miss crazymeds but I know there were some problems... but the info and research was really helpful.

And by the way, Hugh Laurie is all MINE. At least in my crazy head where I believe he's talking directly to me through the TV set... he's coming over later... muahahah!

That's just crazy talk in your head sweetheart. He's been sending me messages through the personal ads, so clearly he's coming here first.

I like your Dx zenbean. I've been called "bitingly sarcastic" by a couple of people, and have asked some of my other friends if that's true and apparently they all agree. Funny, I never noticed....

I am new too. I loved the crazymeds site, but just decided to check out the boards. And I have a great Eeyore. His tail has velcro so it rips off too. Woo hoo. I suffer from Narcopelpsy and God only knows what else. Hugh Laurie is most needed by me too. I think the great doc is the only frigging one who can determine what I have and how to treat it. I'm a smartass too, so he and I would get along great.

Crazymeds and Crazyboards were once one site. They split, gosh, was it in 2005?

I was a member way back then, only i left and came back a few times, cuz, uh, i'm crazy. lol

Sorry to hear Crazymeds is gone; Jerod is a genius.

Anyway ... welcome. I LURVE Eeyore. He's always been someone I could totally relate to.

Got me some new Eeyore pajamas last week too.

Even though my lovely cymbalta seems to be keeping the depression beast at bay these days, he is still very much my illustrated totem.

welcome, welcome.
