orionova
When I was locked up in the psych ward, my roommate was also a mother, and she recommended a book to me for my son. It's called Sad Days, Glad Days, by DeWitt Hamilton. It's told from the point of view of a little girl who's mother suffers from depression. It's out of print now, but you should be able to find it at the library. I also recently got the Dr. Seuss book My Many Colored Days. I don't know if Dr. Seuss was bipolar, but the book sure is. Both these books have served as conversation starters with my seven year old son. If anyone has any other books they can recommend, please do so. As MI parents, we need all the help we can get.
