Like CBT Only Different

Recommended Posts

my tdoc recently had me start doing homework and reading books on how my thoughts can change my mood. i asked her if it was CBT, and she said no, but that it was similar.

do you know of the name(s) of therapy that is similar to CBT that i could possibly be doing? she told me and i don't remember.

Two of the standards include:

Cognitive therapy (anything written by Beck?)

Rational-emotive therapy (do you see the name Albert Ellis on anything?)

There are multitudes, as the concept of changing thoughts to change feelings isn't limited all that much. Authors would help, if you have any names handy-- or any buzzwords.

Cool! It's like CSI for therapy techniques... what can we reconstruct from the facts we have?
