Guest Guest_Julie_*
So about a year ago I successfully got off all my meds for Bipolar symptoms. Because of life circumstances lately I've needed to go back on an Anti-depressant and Anti-anxiety meds. So my P-doc started me on Cymbalta last week. I was on 30 mg for a week and now i'm on 60mg. I've been sick for the last couple of days. Like flu sick feeling. When i eat i feel like throwing up and i'm shakey and I've had headaches. I was recently in the ER for withdrawl from Klonopin but that got solved with a new prescription for Klonopin. (I will taper off eventually, when life calms down) So what am i asking? Am I suppose to feel like this? When will it go away? I guess it might be nice if I drop a few pounds!! LOL I just want to eat food again.

quiet storm
I had some nausea for a little while when I started up on cymbalta as well. I wasnt throwing up but my stomach was pretty upset for about a week and I didnt have much of an appetite. I was on 30mg for a couple days and went ahead and went up to 60mg and thats when the nausea really started. It's one of the bigger start up side effects for cymbalta. I was a little wired for a couple weeks as well. I still get this rush sometimes after I take my pill in the morning for a few hours. Thats about the only side effects I had. I think it makes my sleep a little worse but I'm not a very good sleeper to begin with and lunesta helps with that. You're still early in the game, give it a little more time. jen5276
Cymbalta made me dealthly ill, I had to leave work early I was so sick. Besides having nausea, I was shaky, dripping sweat and dizzy. Basically picture the worst stomach flu you ever had and multiply that by 100. I couldn't bring myself to stay on it, so I switched to Lexapro. Velvet Elvis
The first week or so at 60 mgs it felt like it was attacking my brain with a chainsaw. By three weeks the side effects were gone and I was feeling better.
JooolzRooolz
Thanks everyone! I am at 90mg now and I can eat again! Still not much help with the depression/anxiety but it is only week three.
