Guest SeroQUELLED.
HI, Just wondering if anyone has had my experience with meds. I have been on seroquel for years. I used to be at 800mg and was fine. However as the years go on, it doesn't seem to be enough, and I have been on 1300mg this year. And I am a pretty small woman. At such high doses I feel completely apathetic and not able to use my senses well (touch, sound, etc). Has anyone had this experience? WIll I have to keep upping the dose since I now get relapses on 1100mg? I am thinking of trying Geodon, even though seroquel has been perfection in the past. I don't feel alive at all here on 1300mg. Has anyone had this same pooping out effect, and did you persist or chuck it? Seroquelled!

I now take a moderate dose of zyprexa instead and find it to be much better. I still have some drowsiness but I am able to function which is great. You may be able to find a happy medium by reducing the seroquel dosage a little bit. Talk to your dr about this problem asap. One of the problems with changing dose or stopping seroquel is the histamine impact which often causes cold and flu symptoms. So be wary of that. Guest seroquelled
Thanks chimpmaster.... good to hear. i am on 1000mg now and a bit more awake. I had no idea about the cold and flu symptoms...i knew it hit histamine but didn't join the dots. Interesting. Thanks for the advice - and from a fellow Aussie as well! Cheers, Seroquelled.
