Panz
I have hypothyroidism and some other un-dxd metabolic issues. I was previously on Seroquel for general psychotic problems, some of which it helped and some of which it didn't, but I gained so much weight on it, even eating a low carb diet that I don't want to go back to that. I'm going to see my pdoc and he is going to ask me what I want to try. My tdocs both think I was emotionally better off on seroquel but I have a lot of diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, various cancers and thyroid issues in my family and I don't want the weight. What other med in that class might work better?
SashaSue
Abilify is generally weight neutral, and has been for me, though it's much less sedating than Seroquel, so it depends what exactly you're looking for a med to do. Geodon, I think, is also weight neutral, though I've never tried it personally.

Velvet Elvis
Geodon is another one that is supposed to be more or less weight neutral. Risperdal can go either way. Seroquel and Zyprexa are the troublesome ones.
