Guest Guest_Pillboxfox_*
Just a tip for you insomniacs (been there). If you can't sleep whatsoever or if options like Seroquel, Trazodone, Ambien or benzos have failed, you should ask for Nozinan (Levopromazine). This old antipsychotic is as sedating as Thorazine if not more. Everybody I know who took it said it was exceptionally sedating. For insomnia a single nightime dose of 25mg is usually enough according to sources. Starting dose is 5mg. Its not addictive and can also be handy you go nuts. I have 50mg Nozinan pills and only take one when its a bipolar emergency. It calms me the hell down, kills anxiety and makes me sleep like a baby. Yup. Levopromazine could be the solution for your insomnia. Pillboxfox
Pillboxfox
I wasn't logged in when I posted the above, my name says guest. But its PBF. I forgot to add a little thing about Levopromazine. It has a huge dose range. From 2mg/day for anxiety to 1000mg/day for psychosis. So the 25mg required for sleep is a small dose. Pillbox
AirMarshall
Note for those in the US: Nozinan/Levopromazine is NOT FDA approved here. One of the other closely related drugs like Stelazine/Thorazine might be helpful as an alternative. a.m.

Anyway. I agree with a.m., Stelazine or Thorazine could be a good alternative. Thorazine is very sedating, cheap, well known and available almost everywhere. Yet levopro still wins gold for sedation.
