Allie
I was on Lamictal for 5 months until this past May. I was having possible MS symptoms and also severe leg pain. I asked my pdoc if I should try something else, we switched to Trileptal. Pains went away a few weeks after, we never knew for certain if that is what caused it. What I wonder now, since Lamictal seemed to stabilize my mood so much more, is can I go back on it? Or will it not work so well the second time around? Not sure that makes sense.....I know some drugs sem to lose their effectiveness when you are on them, then off, then on again. Is Lamictal one of those?? MiaB
Obviously everyone has different reactions to these meds etc, but if you were only on lamictal for 5 months, then in my opinion there's no reason why it can't be just as effective this time round. Lamictal also plays nicely with trileptal, so there's no reason why you shouldn't take both together. I have for some time now. good luck M
r.mcmurphy
i can say that i have (because of drug-drug clashes) gone from 200 to 0 and from 0 to 100 with no problems. i think if one handled it after titration, then one could not expect rashes and what not, the second time around.
