New here w/ cocktail ?

Hi- Long time listener first time caller. I am feeling a bit unwell at the moment, which is to say all the universe is a black hole of angst. Dx is BiPolar II with PTSD, anxiety etc. Current cocktail is as such:

Lamictal 250mg at bed

Ativan .5-1mg x 4day

Klonopin 1mg at bed

Neurontin 600mg x 3day

Concerta 54mg (am)

Progesterin only birth control pill

WellbutrinXL 150mg (am)

Risperdal 2mg at bed (in process of weaning off)

So here is my question: Pdoc wants to push back up the Risperdal to 3mg and do the WellbutrinXL 150 at morning and again night.

Does this make sense for a depressive episode?

I have only been on the Wellbutrin 3.5 weeks. The deep despairing-can't-get-out-of-bed-to-see-my-beautiful-kids depression has been about 2 weeks. I have a PTSD anniversary coming so this is not a good time for me to be depressed but how does upping the Risperdal back up help? Also should I be taking an XL med twice a day or all at once?

I hope someone can offer some advice. I have worked really hard to lower the risperdal and I hate to see it go back up. I trust my pdoc greatly but wanted some added input from the patient's perspective. TIA!

the wellbutrin should really help to cut the depression. it made a huge difference in my life, and 150mg isn't a high enough dose to really (for most people) have an effect, so raising the wellbutrin makes perfect sense. I can't speak to the risperdal because I haven't had experience with it in years.

Also should I be taking an XL med twice a day or all at once?

Are you taking the SR version or the XL version? The SR version is meant to be taken twice daily, the XL version is meant for once daily dosing.
