Effexor

So. I'm taking Effexor and I'm not quite sure if it's because of the medication or not, [i don't know if it matches up. I don't think it quite does.] but I've been having some mean night sweats. Like horrible terrible night sweats. I sweat and then I wake up cold and have to change and put on another blanket and sweat even more and the cycle continues.

In the PI sheet it says 14% of people had sweating issues, but I'm only having issues at night. I mean, I'm not dripping buckets during the day.

Who's having this problem? Any suggestions? It's really messing with my sleep and I'm not 100% sure it's the Effexor. It's only been happening the past couple weeks or so.

yes, yes, yes. it is SO annoying.

now that i've tapered to 75mg it's getting better.

but like you, it was only at night, never during the day (though i did get hot flashes at higher doses).

i don't know anything that helps - hope somebody has some advice for you.

I had night sweats while I was on Effexor, but I never made the connection until I saw your post. In my case, they eventually stopped. I was on Effexor for probably a year afterwards with no more night sweats. Hope things work out for you.
