i don't know about your unique circumstances, but i did read up on the gentleman and his push to get dilantin (phenytoin) approved to treat a number of different illnesses.

all i can say is that he's been pushing for the better part of what? 40 years? more? and he's sent his biographies to nearly every physician in the united states? it stands to reason that if there were anything to his claims, the drug would have received approval and much fanfare by now?

I am not complaining about my Wellbutrin. It has done OK at preventing total whack-outs on my part. Bupropion seemed to make it a little better too.

Considering that Wellbutrin is the brand name for bupropion, it makes sense that if one works the other would as well.

As to Dilantin/phenytoin, there are a wide number of medications that it interacts with by inducing liver enzymes, but as an anticonvulsant it's hardly the worst thing you could combine with Wellbutrin. And, I don't recall there being a significant addiction potential - unlike the benzos. Stopping it or running out while on Wellbutrin could be a bit nasty.
