i started on lyrica recently for anxiety. i can't take any of the SSRIs and whatnot because they inevitably make me really crazy and fuck if i'm gonna take any more downers.

i must say, aside from the first 24 hours of flu-like symptoms and occasional muscle fatigue, lyrica has been a really nice drug. much less anxious and i think - though it could just be from not being as anxious - it's acting as a mild antidepressant.

so... yeah. lyrica = good. (if you can afford it.)

I've been taking it for migraines, and I'm not sure it's doing anything for the migraines but I'm getting very restful sleep and am pleasantly calm most of the time.

About an hour after taking it, I become noticeably uncoordinated, and one of my feet gets numb and tingly, as does the tip of my left index finger. They stay mildly insensitive to touch and tingly all the time. I called my neurologist and he said that Lyrica couldn't do that because it was often prescribed to treat numbness and tingling. I'm trying to figure out how to bring it up with him again.

i also found it wonderful for anxiety. unfortunately i developed an allergy, and had to discontinue.

hope it keeps up for you!
