it sounds corny, but it really comes down to taking things a day at a time - "TODAY I won't cut, tomorrow is its own problem". You also need to start working on alternative coping mechanisms - something that works specifically for you and can help you channel out that energy without hurting yourself. Have a look at the posts which have been stuck at the top of the SI board - there are a couple that list possible alternatives.
