lotv25
So I read this info about weight gain and Zyprexa and how in a couple of studies, it was found that Zyprexa Zydis actually wasn't as bad for weight gain. This is interesting because Zyprexa has been really great for me in the past except for the weight gain. Has anyone been on Zydis and what has your experience been? netsavy006
I've taken the zydis form for about a week and have to say, I've noted less drowsiness and no weight gain as of yet.
reco50
I was on Zyprexa zidas for about 4 months - is it the disolves in your mouth type - I was told because it dosen't hit the tummy you get less of weight gain aspect. I did however still experience some weight gain, nothing like a large dose of seroquel did for me though. I found it less sedating than Zyprexa pill form as well. Did it help? I 'm not really sure, I never noticed a big difference on that med. I say give it a shot
netsavy006
Yea, the zydis form doesn't cause the same amount of weight gain, which probably explains it's popularity over the tablets.
Guest jazmn
Is there a particular reason for any weight gain at all? Is it because of appetite increase or is it water retention?
netsavy006
It can increase appetite, sedate you, and/or affect the histamine receptors in your brain.
