bipolar and borderline personality

I have both. I know someone will come in with a better, more scientific explanation, but BPD is treated with therapy, not meds. It's co-morbid with BP in many cases.

I had a co morbid diagnosis. There is some controversy over which is which and whether people get misdiagnosed.

don't know yet. i was being treated for depression but 10 years and 6 different anti-depressants later i knew the problem was greater. i'm on a bipolar medication for the first time, it's been less then a week.

as for my symptoms - i am high strung, easily angered, prudish, overly self critical, pessemistic, rapid mood changes throughout the day - happy in the morning, screaming at night, have had 3 major episodes of depresssion (one leading to hospitalization where i was treated for ocd??), trouble sleeping, thoughts racing, no desire, lack of concentration, jittery, highly impatient, paranoid of others thoughts, fears of being ignored-set aside-unloved-not pretty enough-stupid-etc, highly judgemental, irritable, irrational in the sense that everyone hates me or is "out to get me", ridden with anxiety of others judging me, constant guilt feelings.....the list goes on.

i've got all of the characteristics for bpd, with the upbringing and fears of abandonment but i've also got (on the maternal site) several diagnosed cases of severe bipolar. so i know that the likely hood of a combo diagnosis is high.
