witchywoman
They are such irresponsible dog owners. They drive me crazy(er). Lately their little dog has been getting out of their fence. Runs the neighborhood, cars have to stop in the middle of the street to keep from running it over. If I try to go somewhere I have to be extremely careful not to run it over. These people wont answer their door to take their dog in, and putting it back in the fence is pointless because it gets right back out again. This morning the school bus couldn't go because the dog was running around it and she was scared of running it over. She had one of the kids try to knock on the door for them to take their dog, but, of course, no one answered, and they were home and awake because their kindergartener just got on the bus. Finally someone driving by pulled over and picked the dog up so the bus could go. We had to deal with this all last summer, except it was their large dog also (rott mix I think). Im thisclose to taking the dog to the humane society or at least calling them to come get the dog. I mean, I really really don't want to see the dog get run over. Maybe having to pay a fine would make them realize their dog(s) cant run the neighborhood. I just don't get the mentality. I have a dog, he stays in the fence, and we don't let him out without a leash on. Seems simple to me.
withing
Don't be this close to calling the Humane Society. Call them. A loose dog is a danger to itself and everyone else in the neighborhood. Next time someone has to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting the dog, they may cause an accident that hurts or kills someone. I would have called the HS a long time ago. If they truly will not answer their door or keep their dog contained, then the dog needs to be put where someone who will care for it can adopt it. Irresponsible people should not own pets. That's my two cents worth anyway.
