angry_girl
I scanned some of the other side effect threads and didn't come across anything similar. I feel stupid even saying it, but it has been a problem for quite some time now and my pdoc doesn't seem too interested in it. During the day, usually around 10am (but it has happened at other times) I start looking up. God, that sounds so stupid but I don't know how else to explain it. I get this overwhelming urge to just look up. My eyes drift up (not into me head or anything) and if I relax myself, my head actually tips back and I'll just stare at the ceiling. I have to physically force myself to keep my head down and keep focused on what I'm doing. I work at a computer, so this is really irritating. It can last anywehre from 15 mins to a few hours. The scary part is that I am currently working part time, so it can sometimes last long enough to still be there when it is time to drive home. That's when it scares me. It's like I lose all concentration and just zone out. I am currently on Geodon, Tegretol, Zoloft and Remeron (just started the Remeron). I am being treated for BPII and anxiety disorder. Anyone, please, just tell me I'm not alone here. Sandy
resonance
When did it start? This might be a dumb question, but is the back of your neck tense?
angry_girl
It's been going on for about a year and a half now. No tension or neck pain. My pdoc originally suggested that I see a neurologist, perhaps I should??
mrsloony
Yes I have heard of this. I can't remember what they called it- but I remember hearing it when I worked on a psych unit maybe 20 yrs ago. I believe it was a potential side effect from APs ( back then they didn't have the atypicals- your old fashioned haldol, thorazine etc) I hope someone else knows more (null or AM ??). I don't know if it was considered a danger or a nuisance. ( it could also be from something else altogether).
