Klonopin, paxil and remeron

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I went to the Dr. the other day and he wants me to add Klonopin to my cocktail. I'm currently on paxil and remeron. I'm at 22.5 mgs of paxil (cut them to get that dose) and 30 mgs of remeron. The doctor wants me to jump to 30mgs of paxil and since I'm a little freaked out about it he wants to add the klonopin to help me to relax. He started me out at .5mg of klonopin 3x's daily. What can I expect from the klonopin?

The reason behind the slow increase with paxil is that I'm fearful of the side effects. I started with 5mgs and I've been working my way up the ladder slowly but not getting better-only been a month. The doctor feels confident that I'll do much better once I've been on 30 mgs of paxil for a month.

Just thought I'd get some insight on klonopin.

I found Klonopin quite effective at relieving my anxiety.  It kept me fairly even and relaxed.  The only problem I had with taking it regularly was that it made me depressed.  Not everyone has this side effect, however, so you might fare quite well with this as part of your cocktail.
