Klonopin for anxiety

Recommended Posts

I usually take Xanax for anxiety but since Klonopin is longer acting and I have some on hand, I thought I'd try and see if I feel better with that and report back to the pdoc. (Since I started Seroquel I've felt MORE anxious.)

So for those of you that take Klonopin for anxiety, do you take it in the morning or at night and how many mg do you take? I was on 1 mg but am a bigger girl and felt nothing!

Well, although I'm not on it anymore (it kinda fizzled out), I had been on 1mg three times a day. I would take my first dose when I woke up, one at lunchtime and the last around 5pm. I, too, am a big girl but the did the trick for about six or seven months. Then I was switched over to .5 mgs of Lorazepam three times a day.

Good luck with your meds!

Sorry if I'm naive, but is the amount you take effected by the size you are? I'm taking only 2mgs at the moment, but usually take only one.My pdoc doent like giving it out.

Find it very subtle, don't really notice it but it does help.

i am male, 6'2", 255lbs.

I now take .5 mg when I wake, and when I go to sleep.

in my hay day I took .5mg 4x a day, but i was taking ritalin as well, so the klono helped with the jitters.

consider 2 things:

1) sensitivity can vary from person to person

2) cutting ALL caffeine from your diet will help a great deal as well. limiting other things that have stimulants (like chocolate) is also an idea.
