spaceman
here in nouston today a woman was arrested for hanging a dog(not sure if hers' or not. she told authorities that it took a long time to die. how can someone be so heartless and brutal to an animal like that.it seems so especially cruel because they have no idea why this is being done to them. everyone knows how trusting dogs are. the thought of it sends shivers down my spine. what depraved people there are in this world. she should be hung just like she did the dog. some people really do suck!!!~

witchywoman
That is so terrible. I hope she gets some jail time for it, but more than likely she'll get a slap on the wrist, since there's hardly any punishment for torturing an animal. People like that definetly suck! withing
That is pretty awful. I'm glad she was arrested, and I hope she does get jail time for it. I'm not sure why some people are depraved like that.

pixie_b
I worked as a vet assistant for 12 years. I have seen horrible cases of neglect and abuse. Things that still make my skin crawl after so many years. Alot of it was done by parents who got thier kid a cute puppy then just kinda forgot about it. As those kids got older, they started the same process. It's true, abuse is a learned behavior.

I kinda feel sorry for the woman to be driven to such an act - I really do. She obviously panicked. Poor dog.
spaceman
what got me was that she told authorities that it took a long time for the dog to die. hanging is a horrible and slow way to die. even shooting it would have been more humane or a vet would have done it for about $50.00. MiaB
I'm not trying to start a fight; this is just a simple request: please could you remove the second part of your title (the "woman hangs dog" part) -- you said this was not for the sensitive, but revealed the content of the topic anyway - so the trigger warning was pointless. I find this kind of thing hugely upsetting and nauseating, and while I appreciate that this kind of thing HAS to be brought to people's attention, I really cannot cope with seeing the full title everytime I log in to see new posts. I don't have the strength to deal with the mental images this information instils in me. I'm sure I'm not the only person. thank you very much.
