AirMarshall
Umm I just posted on this a week and a half ago. My source has different info: Bloomburg News: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=206...Ow&refer=us The US patent on Risperdal expires June 29th, 2008. Several companies including Teva Pharmaceuticals and Maylan have been fighting over first approval. The FDA was going to grant permission simultaneously to all generic companies. Unfortunately, a US court has ordered that Teva will have 6 months of exclusive marketing, meaning we will have to wait till next winter for true price competition. a.m.
Silver
Everything I've read lines up with your post dates, AM. As to the 6 months' exclusivity, you can, as always, thank Hatch-Waxman... but Teva appears to have it locked for the first 6 months. Amazingly. Velvet Elvis
Yeah, I see that now. The source I posted actually said that too but some older ones said 12-07. It was granted a six month extension. http://www.jnj.com/news/jnj_news/20070301_113404.htm
