Narcotics for Surgery

Hi

I'm wondering if anyone is BP and has used narcotics for surgery.

I am looking into having a tummy tuck and my plastic surgeon suggested I talk with my PDoc about a safe narcotic, because I will need one.

I am on 500mg Epival, 0.25mg Risperidal, 75mg Effexor, 5mg Zopiclone

Any info is appreciated...

Before one of my surgeries I had oral surgery because it is easier to get narcotics from a dentist than a surgeon!!!!!

Yes, oxycodone and morphine were no problem after my cosmetic surgery. I am also BP and on 6 crazy meds.

I would follow your surgeon's advice and seek the advice of your pdoc. He should be familiar with interactions and know which pain-killer would be safe to use.
