mel1
I am currently taking lamical, seroquel, klonopin, and cymbalta(probably going off ) I am having Staterra added to the list to address my ADHD, which I've never been treated for. Is this just TOO many drugs? And does anyone know how this combo mightwork for me and does anyone have experience w/ taking staterra for adhd, while taking other meds for the other 16 dx's! mel
ChemistryExperiment
thats not too many meications in my opinion. if you need a drug to address your ADHD then its good you are starting straterra... i'm on many more drugs and going back on strattera tomorrow, really excited about that because the stratterra helped. hope that helped a little bit. Ocracoker16
Mel, don't worry about adding a medicine that is for a condition that you aren't being treated for currently. I know it is hard watching the meds stack up as the diagnoses are added. Of course, you don't want to be constantly coming down with the flavor of the month, but I don't think that this is happening with you. I understand that you haven't necessarily had great success with your meds. It is common for bipolar people to have ADHD as well. There are people who feel a lot better when they go on medication for ADHD, because some of their symptoms that they attributed to bipolar disorder were undercover ADHD agents. This has been my personal experience. I know my family was suprised by how the med had an impact on my general wellbeing and wasn't just helping me out in the classroom. mel1
Thank you guys! It is helpful. Is there any unpleasant side effects, especially with all my other meds? And could the strattera allow me to go off at least one other med? mel
