kimberly19426
Anyone have nightmares about things like number. Can display in my head in differing variations... sometimes playing cards will fall or be thrown in a random unorderly manner but always fall stach in a pile aat a consistant rate, even though they were not thrown at even intervals. It gets faster and faster and more impossible until your head spins out of control and wakes you up or prevents you from sleeping when you try to close your eyes. I have had this dream too many times... same everythime over and over and over. I tried Suduko puzzles - my dad showed me how several times. I did them in a book nonstop for 3 hours until I started to recognize that I had become rainman. Trying to sleep last night was impossible! I was already starting to wind before I started to try to sleep. Wasn't happening. When I closed my eyes, the puzzle would appear in a faded indistinguishable manner, but I saw numbers in rows or columns or grids and would instantly work on the puzzle only to find that when I though I was finished, there were duplicate numbers in a row or column or box and no matter how I looked at it, the puzzle could not be solved by me. Noi matter how frantic I became. I would open my eyes at various time of the same dream stepping closer and closer in a manic state to the brink of the world and the other world. Insanity - please tell me that I am not alone; that others have this type of insane nightmares... Kim
LikeMinded
I think the "impossible puzzle/dilemma" dream is a pretty common thing (at least it is, for me). The worst is when I'm *that* close to solving it and end up waking up. On a couple occasions, I've gone back to sleep for the explicit purposes of solving the problem (I'm a scientist/statistician, we're masochists that way). The best is when it gets combined with my REM sleep behavior disorder issues... like the time I was trying to figure out which train stop to get off at, and when I finally realized which station I had to get off the train at, the train had already arrived there and about to leave the station, the doors starting to close... and I got up and ran towards the train's doors... and then my body decided to do that in real life... and in real life, there are no doors in the direction I ran, only a wall 2 feet away... kimberly19426
I graduated with a BS in math and computer science. I decided no more number puzzles for me! I find your dream very interesting... a different twist... Thanks, Kim
