BrotherLawrence
Any issues to be careful about if I want to go on a fast while using Vyvance? I have just been diagnosed with ADD at age 53. On my 6th day taking Vyvance. I want to spend some time in prayer and fasting over some serious personal matters over the next 3 to 7 days. I am thinking that I will have no solid food but do plan to drink juice. Doc recommend taking Vyvanse with food. Will this be an issue? Any other issues that I should be aware of? Any other thoughts? This is my first post. Just found you all today. What I have read so far is helpful. Thank you. Browther Lawrence Sorry if you see this post twice. I am new at this and had not logged in the 1st time.
null0trooper
Any issues to be careful about if I want to go on a fast while using Vyvanse? Put a bit of extra effort into staying hydrated - plain water is best for this during a spiritual fast and is most compatible with Vyvanse or Adderall. If you will be taking fruit juices, dilute any fruit juice with water - it's kinder on the stomach. If there is a problem with reduced absorption or stomach upset, then you might consider taking a calcium carbonate-based antacid (cheap, does the job) with the medication. You could always ask your pharmacist or doctor for their recommendations.

With the ADD diagosis being new and only 7th day of Vyvanse I felt uncomfortable about not eating for a few days. I am also trying to figure out what is going to to for me or to me and adding the fast into the mix this early might make it hard for me to figure out. So this time it will be praying and eating. Thanks again.
