First of all I take 900 mg. lithium, 50 mg. Seroquel and 0.5 mg. Klonopin daily-

Every day I have a sudden twinge that builds up in my body and becomes very intense. It usually makes me close my eyes and shake my head then it goes away for awhile. I may get three or more of these a day. It has been going on for quite some time now. It is not painful but it is very intense. It is hard to explain but I would compare it too a mild electrical shock running through my body. My body tenses up for a second and then the 'twinge' occurs for just a second or two.

I'm at a complete loss as to what this may be and was wondering if any of you may have some idea as to what is going on with me. I told my pdoc about it and he has no answer. Says he's never heard of anything like this.

Thank you.

Gretl-

The neurologists in this town are all quacks. I wouldn't waste my time with them. My wife does have a neurologist that treats her in a large city near here. I may go see him if necessary.

Anyways I'm still looking for someone who has the goods.

Stasis, you're damn funny. I like you.

I hear ya.  Same sitch here.  I went to one to check some things out last year, and he was useless.  Nice.  But generally useless.  We drive an hour and a half for my daughter's neuro.  Luckily he'll make med tweaks over the phone, just sees her twice a year.

It seems like if you're having a full-body "something" three times a day that makes you wince and close your eyes, it bears further investigation.
