Panz
I'm on Abilify at 15 MG, can you take more then that? .... what is the max dosage here. I'm seeing the psychiatrist on the 9th and think I need a bit more help with the aural and visual bug-a-boos. I like Abilify and don't want to change if I don't have to. no one can actually decide WHY I have all of these psychotic symptoms, so I don't have a dx to go by when looking it all up. thanks in advance, It's late...or early rather and I hope that this makes some bit of sense Panz, is not happy with all of the seeing/hearing things
graduation day
I believe it's max 30 mg for psychotic symptoms, but 15 mg average. Check PRESCRIBING INFORMATION on Abilify. There's a table for "dosage and administration" at the bottom of page one. I'm guessing psychotic symptoms fall under the schiz category.
Panz
Thanks, I'm kind of busy in my head and missed that all together
Rabbit37
I was bumped up to 30mg, the max, for the visuals. Stopped them cold. I haven't had one in over a week now. The noisy head has also quieted too. This seems to be good stuff, with relatively little s/e. And for once, good god, for ONCE, it's activating, not sedating. Yay! crazynotstupid
Yes, the max for abilfy is 30 mg. (It's very expensive) It can be activating, but when I hit 30, at that point it made me drowsy, so we dropped it and moved on. Which was all right--at $100/month for a copay I wasn't really willing to stick with it anyway.
Rabbit37
My pdoc supplies me with the samples, because my copay would be $100 too, and I can't afford it. The receptionist said to ask for them, becuase otherwise they sit around and expire. Sure enough, he has no problem keeping my supplied. The practice I go to has several offices, and she said just call to make sure they have enough before I run out, so they can bring some from other offices if needed. And the rep can surely keep them stocked. Try asking, all they can do is say no.
