lottacrazy
I am seeing my shrink for the first time in years..he likes Paxil and more than likely will be placing me back on Paxil 40 mg...I like Paxil, but it gives me side effects, or at tleast I think these are side effects: The uncontrollable shaking legs...they start on their own and don't stop Yawning...all the time, I once counted over 100 yawns in a day humming...my vocal cords have a mind of their own and I will make a short hum soun (lasts a second) about every 3 minutes or so.... I am asking becasue I have heard of some of the side effects but never these...except yawn. And I drive every one including my self crazy when the ticks start...also my eye will twitch too. My uncle once had to leave the dinner table because the humming and shaking where too much to handle. And I was unable to control them...the leg was a non stop shaking or bouncing and even at night they would move ( the foot side to side)...it is funny in retrospect but since I am trying it again...8 years later I was curious since antidepressants are becoming more popular. Do you think these are side effects or something more in the head that side effects???
Velvet Elvis
Does this sound about right? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akathisia All SSRIs give me bouncy legs as well. It helps burn off some calories but people can't stand to sit on the couch with me.
lottacrazy
Yes that is correct...but I wonder if these are permanent side effects, or if they go away after a period of time??? Velvet Elvis
It goes away when you stop taking the medication. If it's a problem, see if you can try a different medication.
