LoonyLezzy
Hello, I'm a 30 year old in Northern CA. Been depressed off and on since about 16. Tried lots of anti-depressants through my regular doctor until this past spring when I suffered my worse depressive episode ever and finally went to a psychatrist for some real help. She put me on Cymbalta, then added Nuerontin. When I began having trouble in my relationship and went back for help, she claimed I was bipolar/cyclothemic and the cymbalta was triggering me. She upped the nuerontin and halved the cymbalta, which just made me uber-anxious. Went back again yesterday and she started me on abilify and lamictal and re-upped the cymbalta, and thankfully cut the neurontin. Took abilify last night for first time and slept like crap. I'll try it as an AM med. Pharmacy was out of lamictal so that will start tonight or tomorrow morning. that's all for now.
Kablume
Welcome to the boards. Glad to have you here. Several people, myself included, take Abilify in the AM as it can be activating. I do not take Lamictal but a lot of people here do. Again, welcome.

resonance
Welcome! Abilify did that for me too. I woke up about every five minutes, over and over, all night. I tried a couple other atypical antipsychotics for anxiety before trying Seroquel, which has worked really well for me. I've had very good luck with lamictal as well, although it takes forever to titrate up to an effective dose.
LoonyLezzy
Welcome! Abilify did that for me too. I woke up about every five minutes, over and over, all night. Yup,, this is what my first night felt like. Since then, I've taken it in the morning and its been better, although I can't really eat without feeling nausea until about dinner time. Maybe that will counterbalance the weightgain of the new meds, LOL
