withdrawl from Risperdal?

Ive been off Risperdal for about 2 weeks now. But I'm having coldsweats, aches, blurry vision (from my already crappy eyesight) and intestinal problems like bloating and diarrhea. And I think Im retaining water if thats possible. Can all this be because of Risperdal? Ive been off it for a while when will this go away? I was only on 1mg, but yes i quit cold turkey. I didnt think it would affect me this much. Anyone else have these problems?

I know there can be psychological effects from withdrawing too quickly off of risperidone. THis would lead me to believe there may be physical effects, but if you were only on one mg and it lasted so long, I would look to other sources.

Personally I've never experienced that kind of thing going off of risperdal and I've been taking 2mg before.

I have seen a couple references to physical effects, but they are not from reputable sources.

So in conclusion [sorry] it's hard to say.

Do you have a fever? Does something like Imodium Advanced help?

It's quite possible that it's the Risperdal.. have your symptoms been going for two weeks, or did they just start?

I'd look for sickness and try some probiotics like Activa yogurt for your bloating a diarrhea.

If you didn't have the vision problems, I'd lean to something else.. but I don't know of any illness that can cause that. More than likely it's the Risperdal after all, and you'll just have to mediate the symptoms.

I've been able to go off Risperdal just fine, but that's not true for everyone.
