GroovyGwen
I just a bit of a freak out rant (see relationships suck board). Not sure if it even qualifies as mania but it's the closest I've gotten in awhile. I've been "flat" and repressed for toooo long I think and it was building up. Anyway. After a freakout, do you get nausous? I think there was a post somewhere about this but can't find it. My head hurts from the crying but I am definitely a bit ill. Odd. Could be leftover from Depakote but it was RIGHT after the freak out and I noticed it when I stood up. Hmmm.... and the crash hasn't really happened so I feel like there is more left. Crap. seven
I don't get nauseous. My freakouts don't seem to end until I take something, usually some seroquel. Maybe you're blood pressure is getting low when you freak? The "right after you get up" is a telling sign of low pressure. Maybe a slight autonomic system disorder? That can 'cause nausea, or hyperventilating? I do that, try breathing exercises. I get a delightful vertigo when I get hypo sometimes, everything gets vivid, so that's kind of nausea related. number_6
A couple of other thoughts: Mania ups your metabolism, causing you to process calories quicker. If you don't add in a few additional calories (at least a good tablespoon of peanut butter), your body is likely to go into "let's tap into our fat reserves" mode. Which can make you nauseous. Add to that the fact you're speeding around like Speedy Gonzales and forgetting to eat.... well, you get the picture. Also, Depakote, in and of itself, can make you puke up your toenails. Or feel like you're going to.
Cream Soda
I get that also, I'm not sure what causes it but it may be related to too much adrenaline in your body. When you have to much adrenaline in your system your body diverts sugar and oxygen from your organs and sends it to your brain and muscles. This slowly starves your instestinal tract and causes nausea and stomach pain. Its similar to what happens when you exercise too much or when you are afraid of something. Also when I feel extremely guilty I start to get nauseated, so maybe its that. I dont know.
