just another BP burnout

Recommended Posts

hello my name is renee I am a manic depressive ....diagnosed 25 years ago before they really used the term bipolar I am here to meet people like me ...well sort of like me ...looking for other hyper active depressed individuals and I have some questions about meds...

I am currently taking abilify, zoloft and seroquel the combination seems to be working on the manic episodes but now that I am closer to "normal" I am bored out of my skull I feel like everyday is a day like the movie groundhog day...same ol same ol I fear I might just go completely insane off my rocker to cookooville the temptation to go off my meds so I can have some much needed energy is getting stonger as the winter lingers blah blah blah.............. I miss the weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeha!

Hi, giddyup, and welcome to CrazyBoards!

I'm glad you found us, and I hope that some of our med information will be useful to you. You'll find a group of supportive, smart people here.

One of our long-time members is a lady named scatty, and I'm going to post a link to her most recent thread. She ran out of meds before Christmas and thought it would be okay to go off them for a while. You might find this story interesting:

If your drug combination makes you feel flat and bored, maybe you and your pdoc could do some tweaking. There are a lot of options out there to explore. I don't think you should go through life bored, but I hope you will think carefully about any decisions regarding your meds.

Again, welcome and have fun reading the various forums.

I dont think I am doing this right I feel mildly retarded so please be patient thank you for your reply and wow scatty hang in there! I know better than to go off my meds I actually have a safety net of sorts as I have agreed never to go off my meds unless I have approval of my shrink, my husband and my daughter the odds of that would be similar to winning the lottery *LOL* thanks again and I will be back FANTASTIC site thanks for keeping it real!
