bluelikejazz
Dropped the cymbalta to 15mg last night. I know some people have started remeron whilst on cymbalta so obviously it's not going to kill me or anything. Doctor said to wait a couple of days but whilst she is lovely she isn't a pdoc. I'm seriously not feeling great. If it's going to help why wait? My parent's are nurses if I get serotonin syndrome they will figure out what's going on and get me to a hospital. I don't know that I would go against what the doc told you to do. maybe there is a method to her madness.... or something. why don't you call her and ask if she thinks you can start the remeron now? voice your opinions/concerns and see what she says. putting it off for one day isn't going to kill ya.... bluelikejazz
putting it off for one day isn't going to kill ya.... Well not directly. Calling her is a good idea. She's out of office now but maybe I can call tomorrow. She said to wait three days. But maybe I should wait until I see pdoc to start anything. I don't want to have to withdraw off another drug in three weeks time. Or try no drugs. arg i'm talking crap. IDK. I won't change anything. I'm probably not in the best state of mind to screw around with my meds on my own, even if my doctor is usually happy to let me do whatever I want. meg
sounds like a good choice blue, I know how hard it is to have to wait when you just want to feel better NOW-- but you're right about not being in the best place to mess with meds on your own. that's never really a fabulous idea but really isn't when one is impatient and withdrawing and depressed :I hang in there and do give her a call first thing in the morning, hope you get answers soon, m
bluelikejazz
I ended up just taking it. I guess i'll find out soon if it was a good idea or not. Hoping it will send me to sleep very shortly...
meg
hope it turns out fine and you get some sleep, it'd still be a good idea to check in with your doctor sometime soon though, imo. m
bluelikejazz
Thanks meg. I slept well. Actually it was more of a passing into solid unconsciousness for a good 12 hours. I can deal with that I realized i've actually taken a TCA as a kid, doctors used it for pain relief on me. We haven't tried it for pain in a long time, so i'm feeling pretty positive. Two birds with one drug!
