Maybe missing a dose has pushed your blood levels out of whack? Unless it's low blood pressure - not sure if that's a sign.

The only thing I could think of is that the sudden jump may have just created a temporary side effect you would be more likely to have at the beg of treatment.

Dunno. I'll wait for someone with more experience to butt in.

Well that was fun.

I was attempting to scrape the car when the world started swimming.

I came in and drank a bunch of water and had some peanut butter. And I sat like a sack of potatoes on the couch.

Now my head just feels "funny" and I get a little dizzy if I try to exert myself.

Weird.

CrazyMeds are so much fun ;)

I had the exact same thing happen last night (without missing any lithium doses). I took my meds had dinner then crashed on the couch. Woke up and I was dizzy as get out. Two years ago I got a viral ear infection (which is quite common) in November and had the dizzies for about 3 months, which is typical. I should have gone to my GP, but thought I could tough it out since it was quite intermittent.

As for last night, my allergies have been bothering me, the weather had changed to freezing point with high humidity and several fronts were approaching. I think my ears just got stuffed up after scraping the car and doing errands in the weather. I took some Sudafed and Aleve (its 12 hours) and my nasal sprays and felt better by bedtime.

But, yes, Lithium is well known to mess with the sense of balance as a side effect. It's usually not too much of a problem for me, but I avoid standing on ladders or anyplace that I can't keep a firm grip. Now that I think of it, I can get vertigo in the shower if I close my eyes too long or turn around too quickly. heh.

Hope you feel better. a.m.

Thanks a.m.

I am prone to dizzyness too. (I am completely familiar with the shower dizzyness phenomenon ;) )

We did just have an ice/sleet/snow storm and my ears feel full.

Interesting stuff. In addition to the dizzyness, I felt like my eyeballs were moving up and down very rapidly. Fun.

Thanks again.

Peace,

Phoenix
