i am kind of obsessive about oral hygiene, so when i saw the post about how biotene is essential for oral health for people with dry mouth, i bought the biotene mouthwash and the toothpaste. now i am wondering, though....is biotene, like, not good for you if you don't have dry mouth? (it just says 'for dry mouth' all over the bottle and tube, which kind of makes me think it is only for dry mouth or something). i have a little bit of dry mouth but nothing significant.

actually along those lines....can using mouthwash in general several times a day actually cause more problems by continually killing off the weak bacteria and leaving the strong to multiply with plentiful resources?

Any mouthwash that contains alcohol will make the dry mouth worse. It won't do much as far as bacteria go. Biotene is fine.

Sorry I'm not going into detail...just a fucked up former dental assistant. Maybe when get it together a little I'll write up something on dry mouth.
