CrazyLee
Hey, I'm not overly med compliant at all, but somehow this lady still manages to annoy me with her flakey, self centered meditation videos where she tells people they can heal schizophrenia and bipolar by meditation (she says she did), and quit Bipolar Medication in 12 steps. She basically told an online user that suicide was natural selection and to basically "enjoy the renal failure" from her lithium. She told another user that he traded alcoholism for lithium. She sits at home, does not work, and her husband (um sponsor) supports her. She says she's a psych survivor but not anti-psychiatric (though very anti-psych meds). She says Bipolar is a bullshit disorder. What do you think?

AirMarshall
She's created 150 Youtube videos, has written 60,000 word book in progress and practices 5 types of oriental meditations, in addition to giving lessons by appointment, with the help of mj, heroin and cocaine? hmmmm. Sounds manic to me. Good thing she doesn't believe in mania and hypomania. It would scare the crap out of her if she did. She was dx'd with "terminal mental illness" by a psychiatrist? Hmmm. Does that qualify for inpatient Hospice care? a.m.

CrazyLee
Here's a quote from SF Jane to a user: candy21100 People with mental illnesses such as yourself and I don't think we need medicine, but we do!I live a rough life with my Bi-Polar dad as a child, and I'm sure as hell not going to do that to my children.I suggest you do the same,If you are blessed with children . SFJane candy, I grew up with two parents who were violent abusers with mental illness. I have a sister on bipolar meds. I have nothing to do with my family at all. I spent the first half of my 20s living by myself. I learned meditation from a master. Years of dedicated yoga and meditation have completely cured all depression, all self hate, the inner voices, the ptsd triggers, all of it. I love life and myself. Now I am writing a book about how to cure yourself of mental illness like Bipolar. SFJane also, if you are on psych meds you have no business having kids. It is criminal abuse to force a developing child's brain to sit in a toxic womb of lithium, ssris, anti convulsants, etc., it is neglect. When my mother called me up on the ward the second time I tried suicide and told me that she had been depressed her entire life I knew that I would never have children and I don't. It's no blessing to be forced to grow up on meds or stuck with parents with mental illness, it's a curse. Nice people on psych meds do have nice kids. Shitty people on no meds with nothing psychologically wrong, have children and deeply and intentionally wound children with horrible abuse. If she had a kid I would probably bet they would wind up on meds from all her new agey meditation, and occult practice.
CrazyLee
XxxNuMbxxX0301 i was on antidpressants and god knows what else from the time i was 7 till about 16. needless to say ive been having a hardtime functioning without them after being on them for so long. i just feel wierd all the time since they took me off a couple years ago. long story short, do u think ill ever feel normal again? im starting to lose hope. SFJane I have no idea if you will ever feel normal NuMbxx. My suggestion would be to practice mind-body disciplines frequently. Learn how to build your brain up. Practice yoga, tai chi and meditation, read books, play video games, there are plenty of ways to stabilize chemicals and build the brain back up but it takes time. In other news, you are a poster child for what is wrong with our society. Drugging kids out of childhood and teens is immoral and wrong. You have been abused by your parents. Again I don't advocate the medication of children but her accusing their parents of child abuse is off. Often parents want their kids to be well. Clearly if meditation is the way she wouldn't be accusing the kid's parents of abuse when at that time; it may have been though only legitimate help they could get. Parents want to trust doctors right? Again a real healer wouldn't try to implant in someone's head a scenario that may not be true to try to sway them. CrazyLee
Psych med detox: how to Wilson479: Dear lord, I just got to 6.40. (of her video of coming off meds) Advising that its easier to come off medication before 6 months. Well of course this is true, because some medication takes up to 6 months to even become active in your system. You are insiting people to give up before trying. Really I am horrified by this. I know where you are coming from because I have taken some of the "older" anti-p drugs with terrible consequences. However NEWER MEDICATION both works better and has fewer side effects. SFJane newer meds have been proven in study after study to be no more effective than older ones, some have fewer EPS but all toxins like psych meds will have side effects and you will never truly be well as long as you are on them. again, I insist on nothing, I do hoverever, recommend people don't waste their time on them in the first place, there are better, healthier ways. all psych meds are BS really, all of them
scatty
Yeah, I went off my meds and it almost cost me my family. It's scary to know there are people who will believe her and either end up dead or in jail. Or a parent of a kid with serious issues won't get them treatment. Or someone disowning a relative cuz they are on meds. SUPER SCARY SHIT if you ask me!
sorrel
all psych meds are BS really So, I wonder, does this include the same drugs if used for non-psychiatric purposes? Anticonvulsants for seizures? Antidepressants for pain? Actually I wonder if she feels this way about all medications, or what?
fuchsia groan
Well, if you just practice mind-body discipline you won't need antibiotics when you have an infection! It's all bs. Fight pneumonia with tai chi. And UGH about her comments on parenthood. What an immature brat. I am a damn fine mother, and have the brightest, sweetest kids in the world. I only hope that they'll escape the crazy genes.

Anticonvulsants for seizures? Antidepressants for pain? Actually I wonder if she feels this way about all medications, or what? Well she takes Lorazepam occasionally and other meds, just not real psych meds, as she says. She is a dick to people who try to question her. Bipolar probably not. Needing to get over her issues definitely. Hey my mom has Lupus and had took seroquel for a while because it helped her anxiety, and depression she developed along with the disease (before they properly diagnosed her). She also took amitrpytiline (sic?) for nerve pain from the psoariatic arthritis she has. She also takes Plaquenil for her Lupus. Bullshit drugs eh? She has tried a few opiate combos but claims not to be an addict. In her own words, ...I experimented with alcohol, klonopin, lorazapam, opium, opiates, cocaine, marijuana and muscle relaxants.... And she wants to heal bipolar "naturally." yeah right... Psych meds are bullshit? How about this combo, Codeine, Ativan and Cyclobenzeprine, now that is a combination. That combination will relieve physical pain, relax muscles, reduce anxiety, and make you feel ok. It is like a warm comforting blanket to have all three inside you effecting you at once. It also very seductive. Cyclobenzeprine is a tricyclic antidepressant (flexeril) that's often used for treating pain.

Then again, my "warm comforting blanket" combination involves hot cocoa dissolved in extra-strong coffee, with just a touch of extra sugar. Yeah there is the medicated crowd that is attracted to her because of her ahem, "natural" methods. Even before I read any of this I thought she was a tad flakey. Yeah my warm comforting blanking is a shot of pure chocolate with chili.
