mazer34
Since sulpiride isn't available in the US and Canada, there are going to be fewer people on this board with access to it and therefore fewer people with experience with it. I do think there are some people here who have used it, and I'm hoping they will chime in. I do think, though, that we can still offer you some help if you give some details about your situation. What are you taking the sulpiride for? What dosage? If it's affecting your sleep, do you take it at night? What are your diagnoses? Have you spoken to your doctor about the problems you're having? Are you looking for an alternative? Good luck, and have a look around. You might find some other things around here that will help you. strange you cannot get it in the states and canada ? Im taking it for depression and borderline disorder and the doc said it would make me sleep.was on cloromapazine which was brillant until I got serious chest pains and I also took quitiapine before that (cant spell it) but it wore off after a while and made me feel violent.so he is trying me on this new drug.wonder why you guys cant get his med in your country ? tryp
So it sounds like you have a preexisting sleep problem and the sulpiride was supposed to help but it isn't helping. Is that what you're saying? Sounds to me like it's time to call/visit the prescribing doc. If it's doing something for you other than helping sleep, you might want to consider an additional med for sleep if it's a big problem. Or, it's possible that you need to give it more time (but with sleep stuff, I sort of think you tend to see effects pretty fast) For instance, low-dose mirtazapine worked well for me, and some people here have had luck with trazodone as well. Both of those are anti-depressants that do good stuff for sleep at low doses. Some people also have luck with benzos and the z-compounds (zopiclone etc). Anyway, if the drug isn't working for you, calling the doc could be a good idea.

Amy10
I was on Sulpiride for 10 years and i don't recommend it for sleep. Did wonders for my mental health and functionality though. Wish I could still be on it but it gave me hyperprolactinaemia. In terms of the bad sleeping - i could get off to sleep ok but sleep was v interrupted. In fact, insomnia is one of the side effects listed on the PIL. Talk to your doc about this. Hope it improves. Welcome

papertrees
Do you mean AMISULPRIDE? I was on it, and I had orthostatic hypotension on it. It was good for sleep though, but dont mix it with alcohol! At all!
