I am currently on 200mg of Lamictal. I have been on it for years... and it seems to be working well. However, lately I have been experiencing breakthrough mania and often have mixed episodes.

My Pdoc suggests Seroquel... but I am hesitant to start on long term maintenance treatment with antipsychotics. (I have taken Zyprexa and Geodon in the past - just shorterm though).

I have been reading up on all the different options, and I think Trileptal may help.

Does anyone have any experience with Trileptal and Lamictal?

Yes, I had both trileptal and lamictal in my cocktail for a few years - I was taken off the trileptal when it pooped out on me (pdoc kept increasing the dose until it was clear that it was no longer doing the job). It's a good, and I think underused, med, and I reckon it's worth discussing wth your doctor. It also doesn't really have a scary side effect profile, unlike tegretol, which is its predecessor. The initial dopiness passes pretty quickly.

FWIW, I don't think you should write off seroquel without giving it a try if you find that your pdoc isn't keen on the trileptal idea.
