beetle
I'm not sure if this is a side effect of meds or what so, I'm putting this here. My legs keep twitching like crazy. It's driving me right up the wall. Mostly it's random muscle twitches all over my legs that's pretty much constant. But I have this one... oh this bastard...kept me awake last night. Finally, in a fit of rage I started hauling off and beating the hell out my own leg. Stupid I know. Didn't make it stop. It's still twitching away like crazy. It's like in the inner part of my right knee, the left side of my right knee. And that fucker is just going and going and going. You can actually see it moving. The random twitches don't bother me as much but when I get one like this in one spot and it won't stop it drives me batshit. I mostly get them in my legs. But sometimes in my torso area... on my sides and in my stomach area. I never really notice any in my arms but I do sometimes get that eyelid twitching shit... in my left eyelid. It'll go on a spell for days... weeks sometimes, it seems. So, I was just wondering if anyone knows why the hell this happens. Could it be a side effect of meds. Cause it seems that whenever I'm on any kind of psych meds, this twitching gets worse.

I suggest that you get checked out by your primary doctor (general practitioner) for "restless leg syndrome." http://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/guide...gs-syndrome-rls I can't say whether what you describe is a med side effect or not. Sorry, I'm not a health care professional. But I do read a lot of medical articles. (It's a personal interest of mine.) My eye twitches sometimes too. I've read that it can come from stress, and lack of sleep. It comes and goes, so I've never been treated for it. Take care.
thunderstorm
Restless leg is different to a muscle twitch though (she says, in her Internet Doctor voice) - it's a compulsion to move a limb (usually your leg, hence the name) to relieve a...weird sensation. It's one of those feelings that's really difficult to describe. I had it as a side effect from a previous med. I'd call it vaguely painful, despite what the site linked said, but a strange variation of pain. If it's a muscle twitch, like a spasm that wont stop, it's probably not RLS, but it's worth getting checked out. Anything from meds to magnesium deficiency can cause the symptoms you're describing I get hand twitches and tremors. Sometimes it's bad enough to not be able to type, or hold a pen Theyre definitely med related, though
AirMarshall
My guess would be on Trileptal. Lamictal gave me various twitching problems that would come and go. These are anti-epileptics, but since we don't have seizures, perhaps its not unreasonable to have paradoxical twichting effects. Perhaps taking it in the morning may allow fewer evening effects. a.m.
