netsavy006
In the past, I've taken Invega without much problem. I was on 6mg. I'd like to switch from Zyprexa back to it because I feel that Invega was a better medication. I would be taking the Invega for visual hallucinations (same as the Zyprexa). Only thing is I'd have to take Artane with Invega because it did cause restlessness which Artane was able to control.
tryp
Hey Andy You know what I'm going to say - leave your meds alone, pal You just got on the Lith, and it's not good to be changing multiple meds at once. You need to give it at least another month to settle in before you do anything else to that cocktail of yours. Leave your meds alone.
gizmo
Why would you want to take a med that made you feel the same as Abilify? It's just abilify, repackaged, to you, in terms of side effects. Rinse, lather, repeat what you just spent the last three months doing. Wind up in the phospital, then back here again. Why exactly is it that you can't leave your medications alone? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm asking an honest and open question. I personally hate switching meds, and avoid it at all costs. I stayed on 160 mg of geodon for two months even though it made me dead to the world because it was working. I finally had to say "Enough is enough," and that's really hard for me to do. You are my exact opposite. You change meds for no reason when there's nothing wrong with the meds.
dancesintherain
Would it help to reread through your post when you just got out of the hospital and you wrote about your general reactions to the new lithium? (I think that was you...if not, ignore this.) The only reason I'm asking is because it sounded like there was a lot of clarity at that point--that you'd gotten frustrated with how bad the symptoms had become and that you decided to follow the pdoc's advice for a new medication. That to me sounds a lot clearer thinking than trying to play around with them again. But that's just my two cents.
netsavy006
Why exactly is it that you can't leave your medications alone? Well I don't really have an answer for that because I don't know why I do this.
tryp
I agree with the suggestion to reread your post on Lith - it seemed like you had a good frame of mind at that point. And DO NOT go mess with your meds. No tweaking your cocktail, no thinking about additions or substitutions. Just leave it the hell alone This is sort of a Just Do It situation. If you absolutely have to agitate and tweak something, go fight your pdoc for some therapy. At least then you'll be doing some good.
