Triple Reuptake Inhibitors (TRIs)

Recommended Posts

Also known as Serotonin-norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitors (SNDRIs). Many of the TRIs currently being developed are similar in structure to cocaine and are already being touted and as a drug of choice for treating cocaine addiction.

NS2359 appears to be in clinical trials for everything GSK can think of. I wouldn't bet on seeing it approved and on the market any time soon. However, it would be interesting to see how well it works compared to a TCA like amitriptyline, or the MAOIs.
